Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre with his wife by his side on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the age of 89. Beloved husband and best friend of Elizabeth “Betty” Joan (née Starkey) for over 67 years. Survived by his brother Larry (Carol) of Calgary, AB. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Oliver Dahmer, and siblings Douglas, Carol Hohner (survived by Kenneth), Bili (Elsie) and Raymond (survived by Rita). Glenn enjoyed looking after his home and gardens in Fraserville. In his retirement, he moved to Peterborough and enjoyed watching hockey and baseball. Glenn will be remembered by his friends at Activity Haven, mainly the games and playing Bridge. Glenn was awarded the 2024 Making Every Moment Matter – Senior of The Year at Peterborough Retirement Residence. A special thank you to Activity Haven Senior Centre, Peterborough Manor Staff and PRHC Staff – you were all wonderful and so kind. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26th from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough with Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Rosemount Memorial Gardens, Peterborough.
