Peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at PRHC at 88 years of age. Beloved husband of Euris (nee Kerr); predeceased by his beloved first wife Doris (nee Dawe) (December 1991). Dad of Jan Daye and her husband Steve; step-father of Barbara Jackson and her husband Glen and Bill Spurrell. Grandpa of Sarah, Amy, Elizabeth, Jack, Paul (Christine), Trevor (Amy), Chris, Josh and Tiffany. Brother of Colleen Ainslie and brother-in-law of Helen Bentley. Gerald was predeceased by his parents Clayton and Elaine (nee MacGregor) and his sister Marilyn Murphy. Gerald retired from CGE in the late 1990’s. Visitation will be held from 7-9 pm on Tuesday and beginning at 12:30 pm until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 pm, in the chapel, on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough, (705) 745-4683.
