Beloved husband of the late Eileen (nee Anderson). Loving father to Doug of Collingwood (and wife Naoko), the late Brian, and Patti of Peterborough. Devoted grandfather to Heather, Michael and Ryan of Toronto, and proud great-grandfather of Willa. Dear brother to Mae (Norm), and predeceased by sister Ethel (Alan).
George was born in Windsor on June 13, 1915, where he lived until the age of 94 when he moved to Peterborough to be close to his family. His kind and generous spirit enriched the many lives that he touched throughout his lifetime.
He was a member of the Purchasing Agents Association, The Junior Chamber of Commerce, Windsor Kiwanis Club, and the Canadian Professional Sales Association.
Cremation has already taken place and the remains will be placed in Victoria Memorial Gardens in Windsor. According to his wishes there will be no viewing or funeral home visitation. Donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family, in George’s memory.
