Passed peacefully away on December 31st, 2023 at home at the age of 76 with his wife of 44 years, Jane (nee Woodcock), at his side. Dave was the loving father of Paul (Hilary). He is survived by his brother John and sister Eleanor Heintzman (Bernard). Predeceased by his parents Dorothy and Stanley Trevor and his brother Hugh Trevor. He will be fondly remembered by Michael Heintzman (Angela) and John Heintzman (Heather). Dave will be especially missed by his good friends Jim and Mary Burchell.
Dave started and ended his career as an Elementary School Teacher in Peterborough, teaching grades 2, 5, 7 and 8; specializing in instrumental music. Dave played hockey, slo-pitch and league volleyball in Peterborough. Together with Jane and Paul, Dave loved to camp, travel and enjoy the great outdoors.
A Celebration of Dave’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2024 at COMSTOCK-KAYE Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough.
