Tu Thi Tran

Tu Thi Tran, 48, of Peoria, passed away on Saturday August 19, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 8, 1975 in Phan Thiet, Vietnam, a daughter of Thanh Van Tran and Xi Thi Mai.

Tu is survived by her partner, Garlan Duncan of Peoria; three children, Christopher Jones, Asia Jones, and Christian Jones, all of Peoria; her father, Thanh Tran of Peoria; two sisters, Hoa (Uoc) Tran of Peoria, Phuong (Jim) Tran of Tennessee; two brothers, Ly Tran of Peoria and Ky Tran of Peoria; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and one infant brother.

Tu was a graduate of Peoria High School, class of 1993. She received her Associates Degree in Pharmacy Technician from Midwest Technical Institute in East Peoria.

She worked as a pharmacy technician for Carle Health - Methodist Hospital in Peoria for the past seven years.

Tu loved to travel, especially spending time in Minnesota and Las Vegas. She had a big heart and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Tu's funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Her visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, August 25, 2023 at the funeral chapel. There will be an additional visitation from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Saturday also at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
