He was born October 16, 1939 in Peoria to Loren and Ida Mae (Boyer) Capron. He first married Sandy Goldberg on June 14, 1959. He later married Barbara Gillespie on December 22, 1973 in Bartonville. She passed September 14, 2022 in Peoria. He is also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Loren Capron, and one granddaughter, Jordyn Preston.
Survivors include four children: Sherrie Lee of Chillicothe, Donald (Laurie) Capron of Chillicothe, Terry Dean (Shawna) Capron of Pahrump, NV, Beverly (Don) Preston of Las Vegas, NV, one step-son, Rolland (Michelle) Gillespie of Groveland, 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers: Ron (Sis) Capron of Edwards, Stanley (Vickie) Capron of Amarillo, TX, and Kenny (Sandy) Capron of Parkersburg, IL.
Terry was an Appliance Repair man from 1963 to 2009. He owned and operated Terry’s Appliance Service in Peoria from 1975 to 2009.
He loved bowling, playing golf, watching the St Louis Cardinals, and was an avid football fan. He also enjoyed working in his yard and took pride in taking care of the neighborhood flower garden.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Terry’s life will be Saturday, January 18, 2024 at 11 am at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children’s Hospital in Peoria or the Alzheimer’s Association Peoria Chapter.
