

Richard "Rick" Rellihan, 67, of Findlay passed away at 12:25 a.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at his residence. He was born on July 11, 1946 in Peoria, IL to the late John and Mildred (Muthers) Rellihan. He is survived by his wife, Susan "Sue" Turner of Peoria Heights, IL whom he married on February 15, 1969 and they were married for 44 years.
He is also survived by a brother, John "Jack" (Shirley) Rellihan of Morton, IL; four nephews: Michael (Kristen) Rellihan of Bel Air, MD, Doug
(Chris) Haley of Peoria, IL, Daniel (Nikki) Haley of Mapleton, IL and Dirk
(Nichole) Haley of Dunlap, IL and great-nieces and nephews: Kellan, Meghan, Patrick, Matthew, Mary Kate, Gage, Hope, Seth and Payton. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Rellihan Haley.
Rick graduated from Spalding Institute in 1964 and from Bradley University with a BA in Business in 1968 both in Peoria, IL. He was in the Special Forces Unit in the Army Reserves in Peoria, IL and later transferred to the Iowa National Guard. He worked for Goodyear Tire Company in Clinton, IA, sales for the Keebler Cookie Company, Peoria, IL, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Peoria, IL and for the following divisions for Ashland Oil Company starting in IL: Ashland KY with E.E.O. and Employee Benefits, Lexington, KY for eight years in Employee Benefits, Houston, TX with Scurlock Petroleum (Ashland Petroleum Division) for eight years as a personnel manager, Findlay, OH with MAP with employee benefits and Marathon starting in January of 1999. He took an early retirement in November of 1999 at the age of 53 with 33 years of service.
While living in Kentucky, Rick and Sue spent 12 terrific years boating on the Ohio River. They made many great friends there. Rick belonged to the American Legion Ralph D. Cole Post #3 and the DAV Post #43 both in Findlay.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Coldren Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, Ohio. Funeral services will follow at
11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria, IL with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Parkview Cemetery, Peoria, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Patient Services of Findlay, Bridge Home Health and Hospice and/or the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
