Rick was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his cousins, Warren Berger, Jeffrey Ketay and Gregory Ketay; and friends, Gina Mibbs, Nancy Elliott, Marla Flaharty Bloyd, Jessica Holmes, Kerry Danner, Greg LaFary and Bill Knake.
Rick attended the University of Illinois in Champaign and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Rick was the owner of L Kahn & Son Steel in Havana. He was a member of Havana Rotary Club, and Zeta Beta Tai Fraternity, and Havana Area Volunteers. Rick helped with the Annual Havana Easter Egg Hunt for
many years. He was an avid bowler, tennis player and trumpeter. Rick was an Eagle Scout.
Rick's funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. His visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm also on Sunday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Peoria Hebrew Cemetery in West Peoria.
