He was born May 9, 1937 in Goshen, IN to Donald and Irene (Cline) Bartholomew. He married Kay Green on Aug. 23, 1958 in Goshen. She survives along with one son, Jack (Mary) Bartholomew of Morton, one daughter, Jane King of Fort Wayne, IN, four grandchildren: Andrea Gullette, Tyler Bradley, Alex Bartholomew, Nicole Bartholomew, and three great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, and one brother.
Paul graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and served three years in Japan as an Engineering Officer in the United States Air Force. Following his time in the military, he worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years. He retired as the Assistant Director of Engineering in 1990.
He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria and was a volunteer at the Wildlife Prairie Park and the Wheels O’ Time Museum.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
