Patricia "Pat" Louise Dellinger

Patricia Louise "Pat" Dellinger, 94, of East Peoria, formerly of Peoria Heights, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at UnityPoint Health - Proctor in Peoria. She was born on April 12, 1928 in Chicago to Glenna Fay (Garrett) Nail. She was raised by Glenna and her step-father Joe Nail. Pat married Gene Allen Dellinger on September 25, 1949 in Peoria. Pat built her life with Gene enjoying a long life and marriage of 72 years.

In her younger years, Pat enjoyed bicycle riding with her best friend Mary. She loved traveling with Gene on their motorcycle and took frequent trips to visit family. Pat loved music, frequently playing songs on her organ. Pat loved helping anyone in need. Most of all, Pat loved her family. She enjoyed decorating the house for holidays and enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her husband Gene Dellinger. She is also survived by her two children, Victoria Griffin of East Peoria and Stephen (Debra) Dellinger of West Peoria; three grandchildren, Bryan Dellinger of West Peoria, Joab (Ashley) Dellinger of Huntington, WV, and Norm (Becky) Griffin of East Peoria; and four great-grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Dellinger; and three brothers.

Pat's celebration of life service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Rev. Alan Newhall will officiate. Her celebration of life gathering will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am also on Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Inurnment will take place in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
