She was born on December 10, 1962, in Auburn, CA to Donald and Annette (Barbato) Green. She married John Clay on February 15, 2008, in Killeen, TX and he preceded her in death on June 1, 2022.
The life of Patricia Clay was not always easy, but it was always taken with stride and a want for adventure.
She always knew she wanted to help people and teach. She attended the University of Alaska, Fairbanks where she received an Associates of Applied Science in Human Service Technology. Being a single mother in college did not stop her from making the Dean's List, Chancellor's List, and graduating Cum Laude in 1996.
She was a teacher assistant and a client service worker for Hill Country Community Action Association, an instructor/supervisor for the Mid-Nebraska Individual Services, a lead teacher for CDI Head Start, and a team lead at the Central Texas Workforce for the Central Texas Council of Governments. She felt fulfilled each day that she was able to help others and show them that with a little bit of niceness, a smile, and a splash of glitter and color, things would get better.
She had a very strong connection to her religion of being a Jehovah's Witness and always found peace and comfort in this. This was especially evident during her brief fight with acute myeloid leukemia.
She enjoyed playing with or teaching her grandchildren, gardening, crocheting, doing arts and crafts, as well as rock collecting.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses: Tonja (Jacob) Graham, Evonne (Jeremiah McMullen)
Alexander, and Amanda (Mike) Mazock.: step-daughters, Caprina Clay, Chavonn Clay, and Scipio (Jamie) McElroy; grandchildren Theodore Graham, Paris Graham, Jacoby Graham, Allie Alexander, Mara Alexander, Tyler McMullen, Landon McMullen, Lillie Mazock, Jade Manning, Mayson Mazock, Michael Mazock, Titus Mazock, Brooklynn Mazock, Alexzander Mazock, Johne' Booty, Currin Jouree, Mallaki Lane, Aliya Lane, AiJalon Igbeare and Sadiemary Igbeare.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Edward Glover; brothers, Merle and Brian Glover; and grandparents, Anthony and Vera Barbato, Evelyn Buttermore, and Becky and Merle Glover.
