Marc Andrew Utley

Marc was born April 29, 1959, in Peoria to the late Jerry Utley, and Mary Reams Utley. He married Rene Woerner on February 26, 1998, in Abaco, Bahamas, and she survives.

Also surviving are his son, Brody (Kayla) Utley; mother, Mary Biedscheid; granddaughter, Anna; brother, Daniel Utley; former spouse, Nancy Brennemann; sisters-in-law, Michelle (Thomas) Blumer, Julie Knapp, and Kara (Larry) Woerner; and nieces and nephews, Ian, Olivia, Max, Jack, and Sam.

Marc was retired from Total Plastics, and had formerly been employed with Cope Plastics. He enjoyed traveling-especially to the beach, boating, and riding his Harley. He was a proud member of the 1977 Peoria Central High School State Championship basketball team, and of First United Methodist Church where he was formerly active in “Bear Buddies.” He will be remembered as a larger-than-life figure with a memorable smile who never met a stranger.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM, on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at First United Methodist Church Peoria with private burial to follow at Apostolic Cemetery in Edwards. Visitation will be held from 5-7PM on Monday, January 2, 2023, at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, and an hour prior to the services at the church. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Illinois CancerCare, or to OSF Hospice. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of “Nurses Caring for People” for their loving care over the last 2 months. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
