Laura Mae “Jean” Dohm, 77, of West Peoria passed away on April 25, 2016. She was born September 22, 1938 in Norris City, Illinois to J. Roy and Opal (Blake) Dishman. She married LeRoy C Dohm, October 17, 1958, he survives. Also surviving is her son, LeRoy (Cindy) Dohm Jr of West Peoria; four grandchildren, Donald McGrane, Robert McGrane, Rochelle McGrane and Hannah Dohm all of West Peoria; five great-grandchildren, three sisters, Hettie (Leon) Hutton, Lillie (Richard) Franklin and Rosie Sullivan; two brothers Ronnie (Evie) Dishman and William (Nancy) Blake; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Shirley (Don) McGrane, her parents, two brothers, Jim and Dallas Dishman, and a great-grandchild. She had worked at Highview Nursing Home before owning her own floral business. She had a passion for flowers, sewing, embroidery and crafting. Her real love is, and always will be, her husband, children and grandchildren. She was past Worthy Matron of O.E.S. #175, past President of West Peoria Lions Club, past Secretary of West Peoria Democrat Club, and member of Lost Arrow Campominium. The family wishes to thank Dr. George Gilbert of Peoria for the many years of medical care and the staff of Morton Terrace Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to her over the past several months. Funeral services will be at 1:30 Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, 2021 N University St, Peoria. Burial will follow in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday at Woodland Chapel. Memorials may be made to the West Peoria Volunteer Fire Department or of the donor’s choice in memory of Laura “Jean” Dohm.
