He was born Aug. 17, 1952 in Newton, New Jersey to Jack and Frances (Golub) Reiser. He married Trude on Aug. 3, 1980 in Peoria. She survives along with Larry’s mother, Frances Reiser of Fort Lauderdale, FL, two sons: Joe (Robyn) Reiser of Skokie, IL, Jeffrey (Michelle) Reiser of St. Louis, MO, one granddaughter, Joslyn Reiser of Skokie, and one sister, Susan (Mark Needle) Shinn of Vista, CA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack.
Larry was an audiologist for the Peoria Public School District for 40 years, retiring May 31, 2011. He was a member of Agudas Achim and Chabad.
He looked forward to family vacations in northern Wisconsin, where he loved to fish and was very proud of his trophy collection. Larry also had a passion for amateur radio, winning many competitive awards.
Graveside services will be Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Peoria Hebrew Cemetery. Rabbi Eli Langsam will officiate. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Chabad of Peoria or Agudas Achim.
