He was born on January 27, 1985 in Bakersfield, CA to Kim Camnitz. He married Emily Silva on September 5, 2020 in Greenview, IL.
Josh is survived by his wife Emily of Peoria, mother, Kim Camnitz of Portage, WI, sisters, Alyssa (Paul Bolland) Campbell of Madison, WI, Emily (Ryan Tomlinson) Campbell of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Kia (Cathy Henkel) Rice of Cambridge, WI, and Rylee Stoffels of Portage, WI, uncle Kendall (Lydia Garnica) Camnitz, Middleton, WI, uncle Kevin Camnitz, Madison, WI, mother-in-law Dana (Joe Spivey) Silva of Greenview, IL, father-in-law Mark (Gail Silva) Silva of New Berlin, IL, and many loyal and dedicated friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Jeanette “Ooma” Ruth Camnitz.
Josh was a fun loving person that so many where drawn to. His family and friends could always rely on him for his humor, advise, comfort and support. He was an avid reader who enjoyed writing himself. He also had a deep passion for music and enjoyed countless concerts with his friends and family.
He attended Madison Area Technical College and earned his B.A. in Psychology from Ashford University in 2011. He was an Honor Roll recipient and on the Dean’s List.
Most recently, he worked for Elite as a Youth Outreach Program Director, working with at-risk youth in the Peoria area. He formerly worked for Mad City Sales as a General Sales Manager, and as a Finance Manager and Sales Manager for Wilde New Car Sales. There, he was awarded many commendations, including a Gold Level Council of Sales Leadership Award, the President’s Award more than four times, and consistently maintained a 98% Customer Satisfaction rating.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held July 31st at White Pine South Shore Shelter at Devil’s Lake, WI from 1-4 pm. Welcoming hour 1 pm, eulogy at 2 pm with hors d'oeuvres to follow, closing ceremony at 3:30. Water, soda, lemonade, and tea will be provided.
