John Richard Shore Jr.

John Richard Shore, Jr., 77, of Peoria, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on January 16, 1944 in Peoria, a son of John Richard, Sr. and Evelyn (Raker) Shore. John married Andrea Neaveill (Edwards) on February 13, 1983 in Elgin. She survives.

John is also survived by his daughter, Barbara (Ian) Lester of Peoria; three sons, John (Diana) Edwards of Holland, MI, Matthew (Kari) Edwards of Big Rapids, MI, and Andrew (Kelli) Edwards of Lake In The Hills; 10 grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; and one great-grandchild, "Baby J" on the way; one sister, Carol (Don) Myers of Gallatin Gateway, MT; one brother-in-law, Keith White of Bozeman, MT; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and one grandson.

John last worked as a service representative for North Star Imaging, Inc. of Rogers,

MN, retiring in 2009. He previously worked as the national service manager for

Magnaflux Corporation of Chicago.

He was a member of El Vista Baptist Church in Peoria and ASNT. John was a lifetime member of the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in Petersburg, KY and an Ordained Deacon in the Southern Baptist Convention.

John's funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at El Vista Baptist Church in Peoria. Pastor Joey Watt and Pastor Jeremiah Griffin will officiate. His visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am also on Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Creation Museum or the El Vista Baptist Church Benevolent Fund.
