Peoria – John Lee, 89, of Peoria, IL passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in Peoria, IL. John was born July 4, 1924 in Marco, IN to John and Hazel (Smelzer) Lee. He married Doris Oller on July 4, 1953 in Peoria, IL.
Surviving is his wife Doris Lee of Peoria, IL, son Kenneth Lee of Tacoma, WA, and his sister Billie Martin of Lenten, IN. John was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son.
John retired from Caterpillar after working for 35 years as an analyst. He was a member of University United Methodist Church in Peoria. John loved to spend time with his family and friends, he will be truly missed.
Graveside service will be held at 9:30 am Friday, August 30, 2013 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to University United Methodist Church in Peoria. Online tributes and condolences may be made at www.Davison-Fulton.com
