West Peoria – Jeanette “Jenny” I. Mason, 95, of West Peoria, IL passed away Wednesday August 10, 2011 at Manor Care in Peoria. Jeanette was born May 25, 1916 in Pottstown, IL to George and Edna Stear Turner. She married Harold Mason on April 3, 1959 in Lewiston, IL.
Surviving is her husband Harold of West Peoria, IL, her son LeRoy (Jean) Dohm, Sr. of West Peoria, IL, two grandchildren; LeRoy (Cindy) Dohm, Jr. and Shirley (Don) McGrane, four great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Jeanette was preceded in death by six brothers, a sister, and one great great grandson.
Jeanette was a waitress in the Peoria area for many years. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2078 Ladies Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star Cloverleaf Chapter 1002. She loved her family, friends, and was devoted to all of her grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday August 15, 2011 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
