He was born October 15, 1946 in Havana, IL to Harry F. MIddleton Sr. and Betty Jean (Bohm) Middleton. He married Patricia A. Sanders on August 5, 1967 in East Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are their two sons, Scott (Lauren) Middleton of Morton and Mark (Angie) Middleton of East Peoria; one sister, Sharon (Jack) Cox of Morton; and three grandchildren, Cooper, Lillianna, and Max.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Fred served in the U.S. Marine Corps and then worked for Caterpillar Inc. for over 45 years before retiring in 2009. He was a past member of the United Church of Christ in Brimfield, a current member of Morton United Methodist Church, and the Brimfield American Legion Post# 452.
A private service will be held at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. The Rev. Stephen Barch will officiate.
