Peoria – Harry J. Holmes, Jr., 51, of Peoria, IL passed away Friday January 20, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center with his family by his side. Harry was born May 22, 1960 in Erie, PA, to Harry and Sue (Eames) Holmes, Sr.

Surviving is his mother Sue Coffman of Peoria, IL, son Mitch Nash of Pekin, IL, grandson Braedon Nash of Pekin, IL, grandmother Margaret Johnston of Danville, IL, sister Nadja Whittenburg of Peoria Heights, IL, brother Norman Holmes of Peoria, IL, brother Steven Holmes of New Orleans, LA, sister Deborah (Loy) Price of Elizabethtown, IL, sister Judith (Robert) Young of Pekin, IL, brother William “Bud” Coffman of Peoria, IL, sister Susie (Harry) Benson of Mapleton, IL, sister Janie (Phil) Chamberlain of Peoria, IL, brother Stephen (Phyllis) Coffman of Peoria, IL, sister Janet (Jerry) Lewis of St. Charles, MO, his sister Barbara Smith of Washington, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews. Harry was preceded in death by his father and step-father Billy Coffman.

Harry worked for A & N Remodeling and Construction as a laborer and for P.O.D.S. as a welder. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies included sword collecting, reading, and taking long walks.
