Dunlap, IL – Ellen Kathleen Schulz, 16, of Dunlap passed away at 10:46 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born Feb. 2, 1994 in Bloomington, IL to Rob F. and Kathy L. (Carlson) Schulz.
Surviving are her parents of Dunlap; three brothers, Andy, David and Michael Schulz; grandparents, Roy D. Carlson of Altona, and G. Jeanette Schulz of Wataga. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Shirley (Fortman) Carlson and John E. Schulz Sr.
Ellen was a sophomore at Dunlap High School. She played trumpet in the High School Marching and Jazz Band. She served at Northwoods Community Church in Peoria in Discoveryland and Christmas programs. Ellen was known by her family and friends as being incredibly creative and artistic and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Northwoods Community Church in Peoria, with additional visitation time one hour before services. Burial will be at Galva City Cemetery in Galva. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
