Elias I. Semaan

He was born July 20, 1931 in Tyre, Lebanon, to Ibrahim and Suria Semaan. He married Mariam Zohrob Oct. 20, 1963 in Lebanon. She survives along with one daughter, Jeanette (Rick) Hogue of Pekin, three sons: Ghassan “Gus” (Barbara) Semaan of Livonia, MI, John (Nadia) Semaan of Pensacola, FL, Joseph Semaan of Irvine CA, seven grandchildren: Ashlee, Jason, Naomi, Tim, Jonathon, Christopher, and Jessica. He is also survived by three sisters: Jeanette Wilkinson, and two other sisters in Europe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters.

Elias was a Cabinet Maker and also worked at Caterpillar, Inc. retiring in 1990. He was a member of the UAW 974, and Redeemer Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be Saturday Nov. 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 2025 N. Kickapoo Creek Road in Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services at the church. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria on Monday Nov. 30, 2015 at 11 a.m.

Memorials may be made to the family for Elias’s dialysis and cancer charities.
