Earl C. Maclin, 66, of Peoria, IL passed away July 4, 2011 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. Earl was born June 28, 1945 in Mason, TN to John and Theoplia Taylor Maclin. He married Florida Bonds on June 30, 1988 in Peoria, IL.
Surviving is his wife Florida of Peoria, daughter Angela (James) Cooks of Peoria, two sons; Earl Maclin Jr. of Peoria and Ronald Wilson of Denver, CO, two step daughters Trina Bonds and Lisa (Travaye) Gaines both of Peoria, three step-sons; Beauford Bonds of Tunica, MS, Curtis Bonds and Norman (Lisa) Bonds both of Peoria, six sisters; Martha Adams of Mason, TN, Margaret (Carey) Middlebrook of Mason, TN, Vickie Fields of Cordova, TN, Certha (Joe) Starks of Covington, TN, Katherine Starks of Brighton, TN, and Patricia (Eddie) Houston of Brownsville, TN, and two brothers; John (Ida) Maclin, Jr. of Brownsville, TN, and James (Dazerene) Maclin of Saginaw, MI, his aunt Helen Mitchell of Buffalo, N.Y., and uncle Translee Maclin of Georgia, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Earl worked as a janitor for West Bluff Church in Peoria then went on to work as a carpenter and crew boss for the Common Place in Peoria for 18 years retiring in 2008. He loved family and friends and was a member of the Word of Faith Christian Center for over twenty-five years.
Services will be held at 10 am Saturday July 9, 2011 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. The Rev. Arthur Williams will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 pm Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Parkview Cemetery. The repast will be held at the Common Place in Peoria.
