Dwight Eugene Jones, age 93, of Peoria, Illinois passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022. He was born in Centralia on February 14, 1929 to Robert and Muriel (Greenwalt) Jones. He married Mary Louise Mott on March 25, 1954; she preceded him in death on May 14, 1993. He later married Corda Larson on February 5, 1995; she preceded him in death on February 2, 2017.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Jones; step-son, William Larson; step-grandchildren, Christopher and Sarah Larson; sister, Marilyn Williamson of Ohio; four nieces; and ten nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Jones; sister, Dorothy Taylor; and two brothers, Samuel and Robert Jones.
Dwight retired from Equifax as a supervisor after over thirty years of service. He was a member of the American Legion, Horeb Lodge #363, and Toastmasters. He served as an elder for United Presbyterian Church and was a stage manager for the Peoria Symphony Orchestra.
A Visitation for Dwight will occur on Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 4-7 PM at United Presbyterian Church, 2400 W. Northmoor Road in Peoria. Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11 AM with additional visitation one hour prior at church. Burial will take place at Elmwood Township Cemetery.
