Born November 27, 1938 in Astoria, IL to Glen and Velma (Gould) Thompson; he married Norma Lockard on April 15, 1962 in Summum, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are his son, Martin (Susan) Thompson of Lake In The Hills, IL; grandchildren, Sophia and Noah Thompson; and his sister, Judy Malott of Table Grove, IL.
Preceding in death were his parents and brother, Max Thompson.
Dean was a construction engineer with CILCO for more than 35 years retiring as general manager of gas construction.
He was a US Army Veteran serving until 1967 and a member of the American Legion Post #1078 in Dunlap.
He enjoyed fishing, golf and bowling.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, 2408 West Willow Knolls Drive, Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral 9:00 to 11:00 am Saturday. Committal services will be at 1:15 pm Saturday at Hickory Cemetery, 12833 Co Rd 10, Havana, IL.
