She was born on October 4, 1953 in Peoria to Everett E. Sr. and Samantha (Pryor) Smith.
She married John Walker on October 13, 1973 at Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria.
He survives along with one son, Christopher John Walker of West Peoria; one daughter, Leanne (Nick) Mackoway of Peoria; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Andrew Mackoway; two sisters, Linda Smith and Samantha Smith (Eddie) King; two nephews; and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Cheryl Smith; and one brother, Everett Smith.
Brenda was a 1972 graduate of Peoria (Central) High School. She worked as a Pharmacy Tech at Kmart, CVS and Target. She also worked with her mother and sister in the family custom drapery business. Above all Brenda was a loving and devoted wife and mother who loved to spend time with her family.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Private family graveside services will be held at Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Peoria Volunteer Fire Department.
