Peoria - Annie Ruth Carter-Walton, 77, of Peoria, formerly of Natchez, MS, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at her home. She was born on November 6, 1944 in Natchez, MS, a daughter of Benjamin and Katie Mae (Williams) Carter. She married Eddie Walton on October 25, 2000 in St. Thomas, USVI. He survives.
Annie is also survived by her six children, Richard (Denise) Carter, Robert Carter, and Percy King, all of Peoria, Cynthia Diane King-Porter of Baton Rouge, LA, Eddie Williams of Peoria, and Stephanie Furness of Denver, CO; 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter; son, Eric Morris; two grandchildren, Robert Carter, Jr. and Percy King IV; one sister, Lee Monteiro; and two son-in-laws, Ronald Furness, Jr. and Darnell Porter.
Annie was a member of Heaven's View Christian Fellowship in Peoria.
Annie's funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Heaven's View Christian Fellowship in Peoria. Rev. Tony Pierce will officiate. Her visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am also on Saturday at her church. Interment will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
