William Gerald White

Air Force Lt. Colonel (Retired) William Gerald White, age,95 of Elberta, AL went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 2, 2017. He was born January 14, 1922 in Frisco City, AL to the late Martin and Grace WIggins White. Gerald was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Lillian Carzie White. Gerald and Carzie made their home In Pensacola, FL. Gerald was a member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church. He served our country in World War II in U. S. Air Force as a fighter pilot. He flew over 125 missions and was awarded The Distinguished Flying Cross and The Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters. Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Kathie) White of Woodstock, GA and Steve (Cinde) White of Augusta, GA; four grandchildren, Chris (Janette) White, Cheryl (Jim Pancoe, Kristen (Marsh) Lunati and Ben (Dottie) White; seven great-grandchildren, Morgan and Theolyn White, Jonathan, Lillian and Annabelle Raine Pancoe and Merritt and Annabelle Ruth Lunati; a brother, Martin White of Pensacola, FL. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, February 6, 2017 from1:00pn until 2:00pm at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be conducted at the church at 2:00pm with Paston Ron Lentine officiating. Interment with full military honor guard will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
