William "Bill" F. Johnston left this earth on October 9, 2019 to be with his Lord, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Jackie Johnston; 3 children, Denise Haas (Dave), Donna Odell (Rob) and William "Buck" Johnston (Michele). He was beloved "Poppie" to 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Bill retired from a 20 year career in the United States Navy and a second career with the Escambia County Sheriff's Department Pensacola Florida. Bill also volunteered for many years at the Innerarity Fire Department.
Bill enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved to travel, especially on cruises, enjoyed listening to good old country music, keeping current on political issues, watching football (GO EAGLES!) and serving in his Church and Community.
Bill had a passion for people, and touched countless lives through his service, good nature, sense of humor and deep sense of personal regard and commitment towards others.
