Wallace Edward Crooke (Wally), born August 25, 1934, of Pensacola, went peacefully to his Lord on July 11, 2018. He was granted God’s Grace, leaving his ailing physical presence to fully rejoice in life ever after.
Wally was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a compassionate, gentle, and loving soul, who never spoke poorly of others, focusing instead on the positives in one’s character. He had a great sense of humor, a beautiful smile, and never took himself too seriously. He was humble and led by example.
He enjoyed horseback riding, camping, fishing, water skiing, swimming and scuba diving. Wally was an extremely talented and accomplished journeyman, who built his own home and could fix anything. He loved to share his knowledge and experience, gained through years of hard work and self-study, hoping to pass his skills along for generations to come.
Wally is survived by his spouse of 64 years, Roberta J. Crooke, his children: Randy (Nila), Rusty (Monika), Ronnie (Missy) and Rhonda (Eric), his 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren.
Wally was preceded in death by his parents, Willie & Flora Crooke; his sister, Gloria Crooke Spalinger; and his grandson Stephen Crooke.
