Steven was a person who you never seen but was ever-present
At the Main Library he is and will be missed my condolences to
his family.

I am so very sad to learn of Steve's passing.  He and I began our careers at the library about the same time and were co-workers and friends for over 35 years.  Steve was a sweet, kind and generous person and a true gentleman.  Although we didn't see as much of each other in later years since the bookmobile kept him on the road and he worked out of another branch, I was always glad when our paths did cross and we were able to share a few laughs.  I will always remember how much he loved the beach and his trivia nights, his daring polar bear swims in winter, his barbecue sausages at our parties, his Christmas tradition of displaying the lovely ceramic nativity set his mother made, and the loving way he cared for his mother during her illness. Most of all, I will remember his kindness and friendship.  My sincere condolences to the family.

         We are so sorry to hear this sudden, unexpected, and sad news.  Our happy memories, from throughout our lives spent together with all of you, will sustain us through this very difficult time.  "Stevie" touched countless lives through his dedication to sharing the wonderful gift of reading.  He will be greatly missed by both family and friends.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I worked with Steve at the library; in fact, I shared an office with him for many years. He had a big office that he was hardly ever in because he was always out on the road, and I needed a space so he graciously agreed to let me have half of his office. Steve was always kind and generous. His bookmobile patrons loved him, and he would share the Christmas goodies they gave him with his co-workers.  He had a lovely ceramic nativity scene that his mom had made that he would put up every year.  We always set the staff Christmas party around Steve's schedule, not just so he could attend, but so he could carve the turkey, which he always did. Funny how many of my memories of him revolve around Christmas.  He was a good guy, and I am so sorry to learn of his passing.

Steve was a great friend. I met him several years back at the Ticket Sports Bar and we instantly hit it off. He will be missed by many. Rest in peace dear friend. 

My Cuz always marched to a different drum and I loved him for it. He was always thoughtful and caring. Had a great sense of humor and was there when his Mom needed him. I know he had friends and many interests and will be missed by many. Thoughts and prayers for all of his family and friends.❤️
