Mr. Lister was born August 11, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio to William Lister and Helen Stiffler Lister. He moved to Pensacola in 1970 with his family. In 1981 he retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service. Mr. Lister was an avid golfer, loved traveling by train and riverboat, but most of all loved being a grandfather and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Irene Lister, of Pensacola; his sons and their families, Russell W. Lister, Jr., wife Michelle, and daughter Lauren of Washington DC and Ronald E. Lister, wife Glenda, and daughter Kelsey, of Tampa, FL; sister, Joanne Stephens of Xenia, OH.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 03, 2018 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday. Interment with full military honors will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
