Age 93 He was born in Cavite city, Philippines and passed away in his Pensacola home this past week, he was a resident of Pensacola for the past 47 years.
He retired from the US Navy as a MSCM in 1974 after a 30 year career where he saw service at the following duty stations: USS Boise; Commander Training Command Atlantic; USS Auburn; Commander Naval base Brooklyn ,NY; Commander Naval Forces, Germany, Heidelberg, Germany; Commander in Chief Naval Eastern Atlantic Mediterranean, London England; Commander in chief Atlantic fleet, Norfolk, VA; USS Shenandoah; Commandant Fifth Naval District, Norfolk, VA: USS Beale; Commander Fleet Air Mediterranean, Naples, Italy; USS Orion; Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for air, Washington, DC; Chief of Naval Training, NAS Pensacola, FL; NSC, NAS Pensacola FL. After his retirement he worked for the US Post office.
He is preceded in death by his son David and two brothers and survived by his loving wife of 67 happy years, Patricia and son, Robert, brothers, Amador, Ludovico, Danilo, sisters, Flossie Lopez, Estela Estares, Olivia Lopez and Ellen Connally, grandsons, Keelan Relova and Christian Relova and wife Elise.
Oscar (Cary) was an avid bowler. He loved to fish, sing and playing guitar and ukulele.
