A Florida native, Jean was born in Ocala, Fl (Marion Cty) and moved to Pensacola with her family in the early 50's. She attended Escambia public schools and graduated from P.H.S. in 1957. Jean attended PJC and obtained an AD in trucking thru La Salle University.
Her entire work career involved the Transportation Industry the last 36 years with AAA Cooper Transportation as Branch Manager in Pensacola. Prior 8.5 years were with Central Truck Lines, (Tampa, Fl) and retired in 2004. Jean was a member of the Pensacola Traffic Club, an organization that represented all Industry Traffic Managers and Transportation Managers within the greater Pensacola area. She served as the first female President 1984 - 1987.
Jean had a passion for traveling both internationally and within the U.S. She was protestant and a member of St. Andrew UMC.
In keeping with Jean's request, there will not be a funeral service. A private service for entombment at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Bayview Memorial Park has been entrusted to Bayview Fisher-Pou, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, Fl.
Contributions may be made to a charity of choice or to the American Heart Association, Pensacola, Fl.
