Mary Sue Greene passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord at the age of 94 on Sunday, October 2, 2016. She was born on December 26, 1921 to her parents Claude M. and Rena Farris in Tennessee. She was a long time member of Brownsville Baptist Church. She moved to Mobile, Alabama where she became a certified welder at Brookley Field in 1945. Mary Sue moved to Pensacola in 1946 and was married to Roscoe Greene in 1949. She retired from NAS Pensacola after 36 years as an aircraft instrument mechanic in 1984. She loved teaching Sunday school, going to church, and studying the bible. Mary Sue enjoyed painting, sewing as she was an excellent seamstress, bowling, and family gatherings. Throughout her life she was a good, loving, caring, giving, and very talented person with too many other attributes to list. She loved life and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband Roscoe S. Greene and survived by her son Richard Greene. She is also survived by one grandson Trevor, one granddaughter Kelly (Alan) Turner, and two great grandsons Zachary and Jacob.
Services will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home on Monday, October 10, 2016. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1-2 pm followed by services at 2 pm by Pastor John Pavlus. Burial will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Oak Lawn Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
