Mardelle Elaine Strimble, 96, of Pensacola, Fl., formally of Hershey, Pa. passed away February 3, 2016. She was born March 14, 1919 in Hummelstown, Pa. to W. Wayne Kope and Clara (Hower) Kope.Mardelle was a graduate of the former Hummelstown High School, class of 1936 and Central Pa. Business College 1937. She retired from the former Hershey Foods as a secretary in the sales dept. Prior to that she was also a secretary at Lebanon Valley College in the business office.She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur W. Strimble, granddaughter Ann Marie Murphey, and sister Nelda Henson. She is survived by her daughter Carol A. Clink (Jack), grandson William M. Guyer (Leslie A). of Cantonment Fl., granddaughter Jennifer L. Cook (Jeremy) of Pensacola, Fl., step grand-daughters Chris Parker (Terry) and Melissa Leanza (Paul). Fourteen great-grandchildren, Shawn Murphey, Cameron & Macy Hudson, Brennon Tyson, Caleb and Annalise Guyer, Emma, Trenton and Paige Gomez, Mary Parker, Lacy Tebeest (Adam), Natalie & Alyssa Leanza and Skylar Cook.Mardelle was a member of the Hershey order of Eastern Star No. 509 over 65 yrs. Hershey American Legion Auxiliary No. 386 over 65 years. Hershey AARP#3466, past secretary, charter member. Hershey Historical Society, Mohler Center, Hershey, Pa., Charter member. WESCO Senior Center, Pensacola, Fl. First United Methodist Church, 72 yrs., Hershey, Pa., Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church, affiliate, Pensacola, Fl. Girl Scout Leader 12 yrs. and Pa. Voters hall of fame. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 15th at 11AM at the Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church at 1030 N. 57th Ave. Pensacola, Fl. and graveside services will be held in Hershey at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church, 64th W.
