Linda S. Erickson was born in Egypt, GA, February 10, 1957. She passed peacefully from cancerous complications on the morning of October 7, 2018. The world has lost a smart, hardworking, compassionate, sharply dressed, spunky, sparkly, strong, tell it like it is, dancing, singing, high heel wearing, holiday loving, beautiful Georgia Peach. Linda brightened every room she entered, she loved and was loved dearly by her husband, family, many friends and co-workers.
Linda has been a Pensacola native since 1981 and was a paralegal extraordinaire. She proudly served her country in her work at the downtown Federal Prosecutors Office and the Office of General Counsel for NETC at NAS Pensacola. Her combined federal service exceeded 20 years. She worked for and was the recipient of numerous commendations from Admirals. Linda was an active leader at the Warrington Elks Lodge and a member of the American Legion and AmVets.
Linda is survived by her husband, Steven Erickson; Sisters, JoAnn Lagergren and Brenda (John) Davis; Stepdaughters, Sarah Erickson and Amber (Josh) Casart; Grandaughter, Madelyn Casart; Nieces, Emily (Mark) Lagergren, Renee Lagergren and Jennifer Rowland; Nephews, Rick (Heidi) Davis and Noal Smith; Great Nephews, Kai Lagergren, Kane Smith, Blake and Becket Davis; and Great Nieces, Ruth and Suzanne Miller.
Linda was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Herman and Gracie Mae Smith; Brothers, Lavaughn and Jimmie Smith; Sister, Maxine Smith; Niece, Rebecca Miller.
Linda, your life was a blessing and your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. The hardest part about losing you, isn’t having to say goodbye, but rather learning to live without you. Shine on, you crazy diamond.
A service will take place on Saturday, October 13, 2018 starting at 5:30PM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home 619 N. New Warrington Rd. Pensacola, FL 32506.
