1968-2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Kimberly Lynn Leach announces her sudden passing on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at the age of 49.
Kimberly was born in Beaufort, South Carolina on August 18, 1968, but spent the majority of her life and grew her family in Pensacola, Florida. She was known for her love of Pensacola Beach and fishing with her friends and family. Kimberly graduated from the University of West Florida with a bachelor’s degree in social work and went on to work in child protective services. She loved her job and the ability it gave her to save the lives of so many children.
Kimberly will be forever and lovingly remembered by her daughters Ashley LaMothe (husband Stephan) and Amanda Leach, granddaughter Adelynn LaMothe and expected grandson Bryson Nall, parents Janice and Glen Monks, brother Tommy Howells (wife Michelle), step-brothers and sister Dale Monks, Dean Monks, and Linda Sanders, multiple in-laws, aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews. Kimberly was preceded in death by her father Tom Howells, Jr., as well as her loving husband and best friend of 24 years, David Garner Leach.
A celebration of Kimberly’s life will be held on July 12, 2018, at 2 pm at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home in Pensacola. A catered reception will follow the service, where friends and family are invited to share memories of Kimberly.
