Jimmy was born in Gadsden, Alabama in 1937 to Mary Francis and Frank Fuhrman. He was married to Elizabeth Wayne Fuhrman.
Jimmy spent the early years of his career in Louisiana, where he was a social worker with the Desire Housing Project in New Orleans’s Ninth Ward neighborhood. He enjoyed fishing in Pensacola Bay, playing his guitar, and writing music.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Wayne Fuhrman, and is survived by Elisabeth F. Hiscocks (Michael) of Dallas, Lief A. Fuhrman of Phoenix, Erik S. Fuhrman of Dallas, and Linda K. Smith of Powhatan, VA.
A private interment will take place at Bayview Memorial Park in Pensacola, Florida.
