Janis Newell Bryant, aged 72, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on November 11, 2024, in Pensacola, FL, the same city where she was born on December 12, 1951. A lifelong resident of Pensacola, Janis was known for her loving, generous, and caring nature, as well as her deep commitment to charitable causes.
Janis dedicated many years to MedPro Solutions, where she worked in medical billing until her retirement in 2017. Her passion for helping others was evident both in her professional life and her personal pursuits. An avid NASCAR fan, Janis found joy and excitement in the sport, sometimes spending the entire weekend in her favorite chair glued to the TV.
Janis's compassionate spirit extended globally as she supported various charitable organizations, including Feeding the Gulf Coast and the World Food Program.
Janis leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly: sons Nikki and Sean Bryant; daughter-in-law Christy Bryant; and grandchildren Zoe, Jesseca, Jelena, and Cash. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Sadie Rockhold. Janis was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Evangeline Newell, and siblings Terry Newell, Renee Benton, and Bette Bolling.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janis’s memory to Feeding the Gulf Coast or the World Food Program, continuing her legacy of generosity and support for those in need. Janis's kindness, spirit, and love will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
