Helen Louise Harding, 88 of Pace, FL died November 4, 2017 surrounded by her daughter Lori and son-in-law. Helen was born January 14, 1929 in Mobile Alabama. Helen moved to Pensacola as a young adult where she later met and married Bernald Stoffer, a Navy Sailor. After traveling extensively with the Navy they settled back in the Pensacola area permanently. In 1962 they moved to Gulf Breeze on Soundside enjoying the water. She was preceded in death by her parents Lottie and Mack Hankins: husbands Bernald, John Spalding and Wade Harding; all Navy men. She is survived by 3 daughters Gale, Lori (Mike), Suzanne (Jon), sons Rod (Lisa), Bradley (Rebecca), 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Helen was a devoted mom and avid gardener. She enjoyed long hours caring for her beautiful yard. Helen was an avid traveler and traveled much of Europe. Visitation will be at Oak Lawn Funeral Home 619 N. New Warrington, Rd. Pensacola, FL 32506 on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 from 5 -7 PM with a funeral service the following day at 11:30 AM. An interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 1:00 PM. The family wishes to thank Emerald Coast Hospice, Kindred Home Health and private nurse Susie Martin for their compassionate care, love and support.
