Cheryl Kay Oldfield

Cheryl Kay (Gamewell) Oldfield, 64, went to be with the Lord on October 6th, after a lifelong battle with diabetes.

Cheryl was born on November 18, 1957 at the Navy Hospital in Pensacola, to Edward and Joanne Gamewell. She was a member of the Campfire Girls and Girl Scouts. She was a member of Tate High School’s “Show Band of the South” and graduated in 1975. Cheryl was an avid Florida Gator fan and enjoyed playing bingo. She was a Christian and enjoyed doing Bible studies.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Christopher Oldfield.

Survivors include: her brothers and sisters, Steven Gamewell, Sr. of Gainesville; Terri Chambers of Collierville, TN; Tom Gamewell of Pensacola and Shari Gamewell of Oviedo, FL; 10 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1:30 on October 22nd at Eastern Gate Funeral Home in Pensacola.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
