Carolyn Lorena Baldwin

Carolyn was born on April 29, 1954 in Bay Minette, Alabama and she resided in Pensacola from the time she was six months old. She served as a Licensed Practical Nurse and later as a Registered Nurse for 37 years. She was the most kind and caring person. Anyone that was fortunate enough to come into contact with her was able to benefit from that first hand. She was not only a caregiver by occupation but it was simply her nature to care for others. Carolyn had the gift of unconditional love for everyone; however, her heart belonged to her two grandchildren and her beloved dog Sage.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father Elven F. Byrd. She is survived by her mother Vera Adkison and Stepfather Darry; sister Donna Gindl (Peter Jr.); daughter Michelle Steadham (Michael); grandchildren Spencer and Gavin Steadham; nephew Peter R Gindl III, nieces Lisa Kelly Helms (Bobby), Tanya Profancik (Jason), Rayla Gindl, and Lindsey Gindl. She also leaves many great nieces and great nephews and a host of cousins as well as many close friends to honor and cherish her memory.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday October 1, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home located at 1985 West Nine Mile Road Pensacola, Florida. Funeral services will be held Thursday October 2, 2014 at 11:00a.m. at Eastern Gate Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Adkison officiating. Pallbearers will be Remy Gantt, Peter R. Gindl III, Bobby Helms, Cody McCarty, Jason Profancik, and Michael Steadham. Honorary pallbearers are William Kelly and Grady Kelly. Arrangements are entrusted to Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. Those who wish may make a donation to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
