Carol Ann Gent

Carol Ann Gent, age 58, of Pensacola, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. Carol was born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania on July 30, 1965 to Andrea Dilick Piper and John L. Piper, Jr.

Carol was a long time resident of Pensacola, Florida. She was a graduate of Escambia High School, Class of 1983. She was employed by Baptist Hospital (business office) for 36 years. She was a member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church. Her hobbies were going to the flea markets with her husband Danny every weekend, fishing, loved taking day trips to the beach, and keeping up with family genealogy. Carol loved spending time with her family and always made sure there was much laughter when family was together.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dan'yl "Danny" Gent, father, John L. Piper Jr., mother Andrea (Dilick) Piper, Grandparents John L. Piper, Sr., and Betty (Rosen) Piper.

Carol is survived by her sons: Michael Paladini (Kathleen) and Nicholas Paladini (Katie); granddaughter, Evie; step-sons: Jonathan Gent (Amanda) and granddaughter, Evelyn; Shawn Gent (Michelle); Jonathan Neet and Gavin Gent; She is also survived by her sister, Linda McLamb (Michael); niece, Chloe; brother, Carl Vogtsberger (Crystal); niece, Kayla Vogtsberger Nelson (Kedrick); great-nieces: Riley, Rory and Reagan; nephews: Justin Vogtsberger, Brandyn Vogtsberger (Megan); great-nephew Jesse. Carol also had many aunts, uncles, and cousins that loved her.

A visitation for Carol will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506. A committal service will occur Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola, FL 32508.

Serving as pallbearers are Justin Vogtsberger, Brandyn Vogtsberger, Michael Paladini, Carl Vogtsberger, Michael McLamb, Jonathan Gent, Ray Winstead, Cody Erskin, and Drew Webb.
