Bonnie Sue Williams, 79, went Home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, June 25, 2022, at Bayside Health & Rehab, Pensacola, FL. An only child, she was born in Deadwood, TX, to Rev. Bonnie William Lane & Rev. Sallie Mae (LaGrone) Lane.
Bonnie was born on July 4th 1942, at home, in Deadwood, TX. She was a high school graduate and especially gifted musically. From an early age, she devoted her talents to serving the Lord in ministry.
Bonnie was active in music ministry with her parents in the church they pastored for over 40 years at the First United Pentecostal Church, in Hope, AR. As a young adult, she taught piano, aspired to become a missionary, and later, was a recording pianist on several Gospel albums.
Married to Kenneth Williams in 1964, they worked together in the ministry. They had three children, Melody Sue Williams, Merry Elaine Williams, & Brett Lane Williams.
Bonnie enjoyed painting, drawing, listening to music, playing piano, organ, and accordion. She loved Jesus, her family, chocolate, and her pet, Pomeranian, Rupert. She especially enjoyed watching her beloved great-grand daughter, Aidlee Zachary, dance and hearing her sing.
Bonnie was predeceased by her daughter, Merry Elaine Williams, her mother, Rev. Sallie Mae (Lagrone) Lane and her father, Rev. Bonnie William Lane.
She is survived by two children, 5 grand-children, and 4 great-grandchildren: Daughter, Melody Zachary, her husband, Lance Zachary, and grand-children Christopher (Andrea) Zachary, Ryan Zachary, and Chelsea (James) Harkness. Son, Brett Williams, and grand-children, Austin & Chloe Williams. Great-grand-children: Aidlee, Jack, Laurie, and Zoe.
Her faith in God was unwavering throughout her life, despite great personal loss & many health challenges. We know we will see her again. Special thanks to Dr. Alejandro Inclan, The Woodlands, and Covenant Hospice, for the compassionate care she received throughout her battle with cancer and end of life care.
Bonnie will be laid to rest in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
