Strick was born in Maryville, Tennessee on May 31, 1939 to Clarence Strickland and Della Mae
Woods Strickland. Strick proudly served in the United States Army from 1958-1978. During this
time he served 3 tours in Germany, 1 tour in South Korea and 1 tour in France. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served America proudly for 20 years. Strick’s favorite hobbies were playing card games, cooking homemade meals and spending time with his family. His family was his main priority throughout his life. Strick was always a helper, protector and had a big heart. He will be deeply missed and always remembered.
Strick is preceded in death by his brother, Raymond (Dorothy) Strickland of Maryville, TN; his brother Kenneth (Wilma) Strickland of Maryville, TN; his sister Faye Vineyard of Maryville, TN; his brother Jim Strickland of Maryville, TN; his brother Bill (Betty) Strickland of Maryville, TN; his brother Doug Strickland of Maryville, TN; his sister Sandra (Bud) Bradburn of Maryville, TN.
Strick is survived by his wife, Sandy Strickland of Pensacola, FL; his brother Mike (Marsha) Strickland of Maryville, TN; his daughter Amy Coates of Milton, FL; his daughter Angie Strickland of Pensacola, FL; his son Bo Strickland (Holly) of Pensacola, FL; granddaughter Chelsea (Jake) Jobe of Fort Worth, TX; granddaughter Jaysea (Brantley) Sawyer of Killeen, TX; granddaughter Merrie (Jacob) Weekley of Milton, FL; granddaughter Shelby Strickland of Pensacola, FL; grandson Bobby (Brielle) Strickland serving in the Marines in Okinawa, Japan; grandson Hayden Strickland of Pensacola, FL; great grandson Jacob Weekley of Milton, FL. Strick shared many special relationships between his nieces and nephews as well.
His celebration of life will be held at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Pensacola, FL on December 18, 2021. Viewing will take place at 12p.m. with services at 1p.m.
