Jacky passed away during the morning hours of December 7th, 2016. Jacky was beloved by his family and friends for his quick wit, and he was our breathing encyclopedia. He was first, from a toddler and even in his darkest hour, to reach out to and stand up for the ones he cared for. We stood alongside him, and loved him and we grieve our loss.
For many years, Jacky struggled with addiction. He constantly and forcefully fought his battle and hoped for a better life with his daughter, Aliyah. But in the end, he lost his battle. We can only hope that his death will serve in some way to save another who is lost to a tragic addiction.
Jacky is survived by his daughter, Aliyah Grace, his beloved dog, Lucy, (who was at his side till the end)
His brother, Robby Jones (Brandi McClung), his Mom, Gayle Sexton, his dad, Tommy Jones (Myrna), his paternal grandparents, Bobby and Judy Jones, his birthmother, Angela “Mitch” Toner, his mentor and role model, Delane Shoemaker, and his many cousins, aunts and uncles and friends.
Our family will be forever grateful to Jacky’s friend, Jessie Burgos, who was loyal to the end of his life, and all of the first responders who came to our aid in this darkest hour, far beyond their call of duty.
Family and friends who wish to share your photos and memories, we would love to welcome those at the memorial. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Foundry Ministry in honor of Jacky Jones. www.foundryministry.com
