I knew Curt as Jade, a sometimes frustratingly single minded Joltick who never tired of all things Pokemon.
He was my friend and the gentlest of people, kind to all and sensitive to the feelings of others, even when he didn’t quite understand.

He is remembered by his electronic friends who miss him and mourn his passing.


I only met Curt a couple of times.  He was a smart and remarkable young man and I was honored to have that opportunity.  God bless him and his family at this difficult time.     Ken Foote, Fort Worth TX

Christy and Cayla,  I don't even know where to begin.  Loved Curt for who he was, he was so sweet, and innocent in a good way.  He was such a joy to have in the classroom.  I never will forget the look on his face the day that his chair collapsed in the middle of class.  I was speaking to the class and all of a sudden he began to sink to the floor.  He took it all in stride and realized the humor of the situation.    We know that we will see him again and he is no longer in pain or suffering. May the Lord give you great comfort at this time.

I remember Curt as a young, boy with a smiling face and full of excitement. Prayers and love to family.

I remember the first day I met Curt in my high school science class. He walked in the room, gave me a big hug and said, “My name is Curt Carpenter and I love science! I even read our textbook three times over the summer so I would be prepared!” I knew from that moment that Curt would always hold a special place in my heart! His love for others, science, and the mysteries and wonders of this world made him so much fun to be around! He pushed me to become a better teacher! I remember how Curt would research fun scientific facts to share with our class for each chapter in the book. His overwhelming joy and love for life inspired me. I will never be the same after meeting my buddy Curt Carpenter. One day I will get another big Curt hug! Until then, prayers over Curt’s friends and family. Thank you for sharing him with us, he was such a joy to teach and such a beautiful person. I will miss him dearly.  We love you Curt!

I remember Curt and Jonathan Holladay playing together as kids at New Hope.  He was a good friend!  He was always so pleasant to chat with when we would run into you guys somewhere.  What can we say - he will be missed by many!  Love and prayers to you all as you go through this time of loss.

Curt will always hold a very special place in my heart.  My fondest memory is him walking my sweet Nico around at WMK Field Day.  He was kind and gentle with him.  He understood him and helped him “survive “ a day that he struggled with.

Perhaps the most treasured moment of my life was when Curt took me as his plus-one for his Senior Prom. I was a poorer child than himself, and we were both Single. We had dinner at Logan's Roadhouse and danced long through the night. When we spent the rest of the evening at his place, I remember us staying up to eat what was left over and watch Star Wars. 

I still remember the day I left a heartfelt letter to him lamenting that I could not have been better for it. How when he found it, he embraced me and told me, "You have nothing to apologize for."

Rest in Peace, old friend. May your days be filled with play forevermore.
