August 19, 1935- August 11, 2023
Dean was born in Calcis, Alabama, in 1935 to Bob and Alma Jemison. He graduated from Woodlawn High School and soon after married his loving wife of 68 years, Charlene Lynn Jemison. They have 6 children, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He was a firefighter for over 30 years with the Birmingham Fire Department as well as many other part-time jobs. Dean served his country as a member of the Alabama Air Nation Guard.
He was an active member of Victory Christian Center as well as serving as a deacon, an usher, and teaching Sunday school.
Dean also coached little league baseball and football and was an avid Alabama fan. He loved nothing more than watching his children and grandchildren play sports, even watching his girl’s cheer! He also loved fishing with his brothers. In his spare time, he loved to do all types of projects whether it be for him or helping someone else. He also loved working in his yard.
He was proceeded in death by Robert Jemison, Alma Jemison, Robert Jemison Jr, and Gary Jemison.
He is survived by Charlene Jemison, Cathy Wagner (Bruce) Kelli Parker (Stephen), Kim Early, Keith Jemison, Kevin Jemison (Lisa) and Craig Jemison (Amy) and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He will be missed by so many but is now with his heavenly father for eternity!

His visitation will be on August 19, 2023 at Victory Christian Center @ 12:00pm. Services will be held immediately after at Victory Christian Center @ 1:00pm.
