Willie Jennett Deason

Willie Jennett Deason, 83, peacefully passed into her eternal rest on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at the UAB Palliative Comfort Care Unit in Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to her hospitalization at UAB, Willie had been a resident of Premiere Health Memory Care in Columbiana, Alabama.

Willie was born on June 22, 1939, and was the daughter of Herbert Eugene Fancher, Sr., and Lena Irene Coppinger Fancher of West Blocton, Alabama. She is survived by her children, John Hughes Warren, Sr. and his wife, Pam; Melissa "Lisa" Partridge and her husband, Kenneth, and James Michael and his wife Gail; as well as her grandchildren, John Hughes Warren, Jr.; Carlton Allen Hoffman; James Matthew Deason; Virginia Ann Reisner and her husband, Blake; and Kendyl Ryan Partridge. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

Willie was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton McElroy Deason; her brothers, Herbert, Hershel "Sonny", Robert, William, and Tom; and sisters, Mary, Catherine, Sue Betty, Mildred, and Judy.

Willie's family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to both Premiere Health Memory Care and the UAB Palliative Comfort Care Unit as they lovingly and compassionately helped guide her through the final chapter of her journey here on earth.

A celebration of Willie's life will be held at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. There will be no graveside service.
